What we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to send â typically your email address and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites we record technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use an approximate, city-level location derived from your IP address to choose which currency pairs to show you first. We do not store precise location.
Local storage. We may store small amounts of data in your browser to remember preferences such as your selected currency. This stays on your device.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or hold financial account details, trading account credentials, identity documents, or payment information. We do not operate accounts and there is nothing to register for.
Why we use it
- To display the site and keep it working
- To choose relevant default currencies for your region
- To measure aggregate traffic and improve the content
- To detect and prevent abuse
- To answer you when you get in touch
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies for site function and traffic measurement. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; the site will continue to work if you do.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site and supply market data, and only as needed to run the service, or where required by Hong Kong law.
Retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics, then deleted or aggregated. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may ask whether we hold personal data about you, request a copy, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} and we will respond within the statutory period.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
